We want to provide you with an important update regarding recent changes to U.S. tariff policies and how they impact your orders from us.
Key Changes in U.S. Tariffs
Starting May 2, 2025, the U.S. government will impose significant tariff increases on postal shipments entering the country:
- May 2 – May 31, 2025: A flat $100 tariff per package (regardless of item value).
- From June 1, 2025: The tariff will increase to $200 per package.
For non-postal shipments (e.g., DHL, UPS, FedEx), tariffs will rise to 145% of the product value.
How This Affects Your Orders
Previously, we shipped directly from our China warehouse via USPS, keeping costs low. However, under the new policy:
- Example: Our Mold Box ($39.98 + $4.98 shipping)
- After May 2: Total cost = $144.96 ($39.98 + $4.98 shipping + $100 tariff).
- After June 1: Total cost = $244.96 ($39.98 + $4.98 shipping + $200 tariff).
This makes postal shipping unsustainable for our US customers.
Our Adjustments to Minimize Impact
To continue serving you while keeping costs as reasonable as possible, we’re implementing the following:
- Tariff Estimate at Checkout
- Orders will now include an estimated tariff fee (listed as “Tax”) to cover these new costs.
- Switching to Commercial Carriers (DHL, UPS, FedEx)
- To avoid the $100–$200 flat postal tariffs, we’ll exclusively use commercial carriers.
- Shipping fees will now be:
- $34.98 for orders under $50.
- $44.98 for orders between $50–$100.
- Future U.S. Warehouse Stock
- We’re arranging sea/air shipments to a U.S. warehouse to reduce long-term costs and keep prices stable. As soon as Mold Box arrives at our U.S. warehouse, we’ll email you right away, This will help keep prices lower in the future.
Our Commitment to Affordable Quality
One of the core reasons we created Mold Box was to leverage economies of scale—reducing production and operational costs so we could offer high-quality products at accessible prices for resin artists and small businesses like ours. These adjustments are not what we wanted, but they are necessary under the new tariff rules.
For our existing U.S. customers who previously purchased Mold Box at the pre-tariff price: Don’t worry—we will absorb all additional costs to ensure your monthly Mold Box shipments arrive on time, as promised.
Flexibility in Pricing & Shipping
These changes to pricing and shipping methods for U.S. customers are a direct response to U.S. tariff policies. We will continue monitoring the situation and adjust accordingly if policies change in the future.
